Hana Dominates the Bicycle!!!!

That's right! We decided to go to the soccer fields so that Hana could once and for all get control of her bicycle. We had tried back in June 07 to teach her how to ride without her training wheels at Liliuokolani park. Here is a video of that time:

As you can see, success was partial. For one reason or another we never followed up and did not touch her bike again since. So today we decided we were going to go and give it another try. First she said she wanted her training wheels, but that was too bad because I threw them away...

So off we went to the soccer fields. I found a nice long hill from which to push her off and right on the first push she took off as if she had been riding for years.

By the end of the afternoon she was riding on grass, gravel and concrete, she even got a handle on starting off all by herself!
