Science Saturday - Part 2

Last Saturday was the First Lego Robotics Competition at Imiloa and Charlotte & Debbie's Girl Scout Troop competed against 14 teams from other schools.

Their team and robot name was F.E.L.I.K.S, named after the initials of the team members (Fiona, Emily, Liza, Ivy, Kirrah, Sydney).

They had been working on this for a couple of months.

They had to give a presentation to a panel of judges on their project. Their project was based on the contamination problems associated with flood caused by rains.

The robot competition was in three parts. During each part their robot had to complete certain tasks and that would earn them points.

They did really good, their robot won Best Robot Design Prize, and although they didn't finish in the top 5 places (those teams get to go to Honolulu to the state championship) they did Excelent overal!!
