May Day at St. Joe's

Two weeks ago was the St. Joe's May Day celebration. All the classes perform on stage. It is a big event here in Hilo and this time was even more.

Here is Charlotte in the morning helping the girls with their hair....

But the big thing for this year was that Syd was chosen from her class to be part of the Royal Court. Her class represented the island of Maui so she had to wear a pink Hawaiian dress. Charlotte and her looked for one everywhere and could not find a decent pink dress, so she took matters to her hands and made the dress!

The picture doesn't show too well, but she's also wearing a lei made with pink rose buds, very pretty!
