Three Down, One to Go!
Well, first the good news, remember the white chicken (Ducky)? we were worried that he was a boy and not a girl?
We were bummed too, because that one has a very cool personality, this one thinks it is a pirate's parrot...
turns out IT IS A GIRL!!!! (she is a bit of a tomboy though)
Charlotte found her sitting on a nest with, get a load of this, 21 EGGS!.....
After testing them, we found that about 2/3 of them were still good! Now, this means that we've found the nest of 3 out of our 4 chickens, which means there is still one nest hiding out there accumulating eggs by the day!
Looks like we've achieved egg-independence!....next step: A COW!!

I heard he tried to peck your eyes out (thus the safety glasses) No. I just think that's so cool that you have your own chickens! I've tried to talk Eric into the idea, but he has a good point that chickens would be hard to deal with in the winter here in Ontario. They would need their own heated house (damn!) Really fresh eggs are so good. We'll just have to keep going to the farmer's market.
Best,
Kelly
