Adventures in a New Land

To all of our friends back home and other places......
We finally made it into Hilo after a looooong and arduous trip. But, before our trip, we had two wonderful going away parties in Tucson.
We will try to bring you all up to date of what we've done, where we've been, and how is the move going along via this "blog".
Please come and check it out often to see pictures and to share your thoughts and comments with everyone in Tucson, Mexico and anywhere where friends and family may be.

THE GOING AWAY PARTAYS
In the good ol Romo tradition there were several moments and occasions that were good enough to get friends together and celebrate. We thought: "if we've had demolition parties before, why not have packing parties" and so it started with some friends helping us load some of our heavy stuff into the "metal box". And yes, everything went in!
Special thanks to Jim "the Cork man" for the Energy Food that helped lift everyone's endurance!

Then there were the "Official Going Away Parties"
The first Party was for Sydney and Hana so they could say Aloha to their friends. The party was a blast and we were delighted to see you all there.
With a Hawaiian theme in mind we all enjoyed a beautiful spring day in Tucson by the pool eating pizza and drinking beer.....
The second party, aka as the "Grown Ups Party" was held at Eric and Julie's house. There is not enough space in the entire internet to express
our gratitude to each and every single one of you. (Pictures of this party will be posted in the near future once we find out who has any.....)
That skit meant a lot for us, we never expected to be honored in such a way..... And I will never be able to look at Charlotte the same way after seeing Eric with a mop on his head....
The painting that was given to us was another surprise that blew us out of the water.... it was Charlotte's favorite painting from the show and we will keep it and cherish it forever.
The song by Gonzalo was truly a beautiful gift and it we will never forget it.
It is true that the hardest thing to do in this move was to leave such wonderful friends behind, but, both Charlotte and I believe that one must follow their dreams and that is what we are doing. We expect to see you all here in Hilo in the near future, it is a wonderful place where life just flows at the rythm of Aloha.

We will miss you all!.........
But we expect you to come and visit soon!
